We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

Birth details — date, time, and place of birth. Stored encrypted at rest.
Email address — used to deliver your chart and forecast. Stored encrypted at rest.
Consent record — timestamp, a one-way hash of your email (never the plaintext), and truncated IP address. Retained for compliance purposes.

We do not collect your name. We do not collect your phone number. We do not collect payment information.

3. Why we process it

Your birth details and email address are used solely to generate your Vedic birth chart and deliver your chart and weekly forecast to you.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or resale.

4. How it is processed

All personal data is encrypted at rest. Calculations are performed server-side with no human review of your data. Your email address is stored separately from your birth details and is never combined into a named profile.

5. Third-party processors

We work with a small number of trusted service providers for email delivery, place-name lookup, hosting, and DNS. We share only the data each provider needs to perform their function.

We do not use advertising networks, analytics trackers, or session recording tools.

6. Retention

Birth data, chart data, and email address: retained while your account is active.
After you unsubscribe (one-click unsubscribe link in any email): your data is deleted within 90 days.
Consent records: retained for 3 years in hashed form for compliance purposes only.
Unconfirmed signups: deleted automatically after 24 hours.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights:

Unsubscribe / delete: Click the unsubscribe link in any email. No login required.
Data request: Email privacy@merikundali.in with the subject "Data Request". We will respond within 30 days.

8. International data transfers

Our servers are located in the United States. If you are accessing this service from outside the US, your data will be processed there. We take appropriate measures to protect your data in transit and at rest.

9. No sale or sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own commercial purposes.

10. Children

This service is not intended for children.
